What is din934?

2023-11-18

DIN 934 is a German standard for hexagon nuts with metric threads. It specifies the dimensions, technical requirements, and testing methods for hexagon nuts of regular style, made of steel, stainless steel or non-ferrous materials. The standard applies to nuts with a thread diameter ranging from M1.6 to M160 and thread pitch ranging from 0.35mm to 6.0mm. The specified height of the nut is equal to the nominal thread diameter. The hexagon shape of the nut ensures a secure and easy grip for tightening or loosening with a wrench or pliers. DIN 934 nuts are commonly used in construction, machinery, and automotive applications where a secure, tight fit is required.
